Blessing of the foundation stone of Bishop Durning Home at Usa River

On Thursday 24th July 2014, spiritans and students of Usa Seminary gathered at Usa Seminary to witness the blessing of the foundation stone of the home for the sick and elderly Spiritans.

At around 11 am, Rev Bishop Augustine Shao CSSp (Bishop of Zanzibar) presided over the ceremony on the eve of the second Tanzania provincial chapter. A number of delegates to the chapter, spiritans working in Tanzania, and students of  Usa Seminary participated at the ceremony.


Bishop Durning Home at Usa River by Simplisphoto The new home for elderly and sick confreres will be known as Bishop Denis Durning Home in honour of Bishop Denis Durning CSSp, former bishop of Arusha Catholic Diocese.

WHAT DAR ES SALAAM BUS RAPID TRANSIT WILL LOOK LIKE!

A 3D simulation of the new Dar es Salaam Rapid Transit (DART) will give you an idea of how the new bus transport system will look like. The new system is aimed at easing traffic jams, improve safety for all road users, transport people efficiently and on a timed manner. For example, one will be able to calculate the time it takes from Ubungo to Posta, when to get the bus, as this information will be available to users at advance.
