Use of Cannabis Dangerous to Adolescents

Recent studies conducted by an International team and published by Proceedings of the National Academy of Sciences has revealed that the use of cannabis at early age has irreversible effects on the development of the brain when used at teenage age. Contrary to this study, many adolescents do not believe that the use of cannabis also known as bhang or marijuana is harmful to health. The study shows that long use of cannabis leads to loss of IQ. They also suffer from inattention, lack of concentration, memory problems and all these affect learning process of young people. Today, many young people are using or have already used cannabis. For instance, it is estimated that about 9 % of men and 4% of women in UK use cannabis according to the 2010/2011 British Crime Survey, and in France, 8% of boys and 3% of girls use cannabis daily according to a study published in 2006 by INSEE (Institut national de la statistique et des études écon

The Africa-Chinese economic interests sparks a lot of debate among westerners. Fr Agbonkhianmeghe Orobator, Jesuit provincial for Eastern Africa, looks presents his views on Africa and China relations in an interview during his lecture in Canada entitled, Africa, Continent of Hope. According to Orobator, life in Africa experiences a huge economic growth but there is a need for government structures that assures sustainable growth through equity and justice.
