Does Africa Need China for Growth?
Steve Radelet, a renown Professor in the Practice of Development at Georgetown University sees an inevitable need to include China in the world economic agenda as well as in the economic growth of Africa. More than any other time, the role of China in the growth of Africa is evident. China remains the source of capital for investment in African economies. Major works in infrastructure and extractive industries have seen the technical know-how of the Chinese in the African soil. For Africa to really benefit from this opportunity for investment, Africans and African governments must negotiate for her piece of cake.
