Le 5 mai dernier à Arusha, au nord du pays, la première messe dans la nouvelle église Saint-Joseph-le-travailleur d'Olasiti vient juste de s'achever lorsqu'une bombe tue 3 fidèles et blesse une soixantaine d'autres. Pour la Conférence des évêques tanzaniens, cet attentat s'inscrit "dans le cadre des maux planifiés par ceux qui ne veulent pas du bien à l'Église". Les évêques considèrent que cette violence est organisée par un groupe islamiste non identifié et extérieur au pays. En Tanzanie jusque-là, les relations entre musulmans et chrétiens étaient paisibles. Du 17 au 20 mai dernier, 15 de nos jeunes collégiens ont vécu l’expérience du Frat à Jambville où près de 12000 adolescents des diocèses d’Ile de France s’étaient donné rendez-vous pour partager autour du thème Porteurs d’espérance. Avec eux, il y avaient trois animatrices : Joëlle, Marie Rose et Angèle. Landry et le Père Simplis étaient aussi de la Partie. Ce samedi 23 mars, les jeunes des paroisses de Blanc-mesnil, Dugny et le Bourget se sont rendus à l’association La Camillienne à la rencontre des jeunes du 12 ème arrondissement de Paris pour vivre un moment convivial autour de la thématique du commerce équitable ! Les jeunes du club ados de Camillienne, une association sportive , culturelle et d’éveil et le CCFD (Comité Catholique contre la Faim et pour le Développement) ont préparé l’évènement «  bouge ta planète » depuis plusieurs mois , et ce sont plus de 70 jeunes et accompagnateurs qui ont répondu à l’invitation !

La nouvelle a été une grande surprise car il n’était pas parmi ceux que les médias avaient mis à l’avent. Un homme simple et un grand spirituel. Cardinal depuis 2001, Bergoglio est connu pour la vie simple qu'il a menée à Buenos Aires, voyageant en métro et en bus, passant ses week-ends dans les paroisses défavorisées, au contact des prêtres des bidonvilles.
